April Forum Explores Business in Poland On 11 April 2000, the Forum speaker was Andrzcj Laganowski, Commercial Counselor for the Embassy of the Republic of Poland. Mr. Laganowski spoke about the factors that make Poland an attractive country for international investors.His presentation was divided into four main parts: Polands natural conditions, political situation, economic factors, and special relationship with the U.S. Mr. Laganowski conveyed that Poland has the youngest population in Europe, and has hard working citizens who are eager for private sector jobs. Both inflation tax rates are low, lending themselves to a lucrative situation for foreign investors. In terms of the U.S. relationship with Poland, he mentioned that the U.S. is viewed as a political ally, the strong bilateral treaty framework is already in place, and the presence of many Polish-American citizens all lead to an easy business relationship between the two nations.
