Virtual International Business Academy (VIBA) Update There have been a number of new developments on the VIBA project at MSU. Stewart Miller, Assistant Professor of Marketing and Supply Chain Management, has begun teaching the Environment of International Business course to a group of students enrolled in the Executive MBA Program in the International University in Geneva, Switzerland. "So far the experience has been rewarding," Dr. Miller says, and continues "Here I am in Michigan, teaching to a group of students that are half way around the world!" The course will continue online for ten intensive weeks. Dr. Miller will be in Geneva to conduct exams and deliver lectures for a four-day period during the program. Development is also advancing considerably both from the technical and academic content perspectives. VIBA now hosts five completed courses in International Business with about a dozen more under development. The most recent presentation was delivered to the International Business Forum Community on Friday, January 14, 2000. It was well received. The attendants commented on the sophistication of the technical platform, well-organized delivery methodology, and the thoroughness of the academic content.
