Seminars for Faculty Development in International Business The Seminars for Faculty Development in International Business (FDIB) program at the University of Memphis is intended to help faculty teach in a global context by infusing international material into new and existing courses. It will take place on 15-18 June, 2000, in Memphis, Tennessee.The five seminars (International Business, International Finance, Global Information Technology, International Management, and International Marketing) also help business schools internationalize their curriculum with the accreditation framework of the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The fee for the program is $1195 if registered by 28 April 2000 and $1395 thereafter. The fee includes instruction, seminar materials, three nights lodging, welcome reception and dinner on Thursday evening, breakfasts, lunches and coffee breaks. The fee does not cover transportation, other evening meals, or incidental expenses. A limited numbers of Faculty Fellowships in the amount of $500 are available from the sponsoring CIBERs, reducing the cost of the program to $695. To be eligible for a fellowship, you must register by 28 April 2000 and provide a one-page written statement describing how the program will benefit you and your institution. Statements should be submitted to The University of Memphis CIBER. All fees are payable in advance.
