New Faculty Joins MSU Eli Broad College of Business
Stewart R. Miller, Ph.D. joins the Broad College of Business as an Assistant Professor in International Business. Professor Miller has a distinguished academic record, which includes a Bachelors in Economics and Masters from Northwestern University, and a Masters and Ph.D. in Strategic Management with minors in International Business, Finance and Business Economics from Indiana University. His dissertation won the CIBER Competitive Dissertation Award. After teaching undergraduate level courses in International Business Environments, Operations, and Multinational Simulations, Professor Miller came to MSU to teach in the Program in Integrative Management. His research interests include the globalization of service-related multinationals, especially financial services, international joint ventures, and international competetiveness. He is currently conducting research with faculty and several doctoral students. Professor Miller has presented many papers overseas, and has been published in the Journal of International Business Studies, the Journal of International Management, and the Academy Management Review (forthcoming). Additionally, he has written several case studies for the Harvard Business School. He has presented research at the Academy of International Business and the Academy of Management. He currently serves as chair of the Midwest Academy of International Business, whose conference will be held 1-3 March 2000. His industry experience includes work with international finance analysis and economic research.
