Possible Study Abroad Partnerships in Europe The College of Business is exploring possiblities for two exciting new study abroad options for business students in Europe. IBC Director Gary Ragatz, Mick Vande Berg of MSUs Office of Study Abroad, and Professor Ed Ingraham of the MSU Honors College recently visited universities in Madrid and Rome to discuss possible collaborations that would offer new semester- or year-long study abroad options for MSU Business and Honors College students. In addition to business courses, these programs would provide opportunities for foreign language and cultural studies. Universidad Antonio de Nebrija is a private, independent university located in a park-like setting in Madrid. The university offers programs for international students focusing on Spanish Language and Culture, as well as International Business and Computer Science. International students are integrated into Spanish culture through home stays with local host families and a variety of cultural actitivies organized by the university. John Cabot University, located in the heart of Rome, is an American university with degree programs in Business Administration, International Affairs, Political Science, English Literature, and Art History. John Cabot has a very diverse student body -- about 30% of the students are Italian, about 30% are American, and the remainder come from over 40 other countries around the world. All courses are taught in English, and Italian language courses are available at the beginning and intermediate levels. Copyright © 1999 Michigan State University. |
